Working principle of ultraviolet lamp

The ultraviolet lamp is the same as the fluorescent lamp and the luminescent principle of the energy saving lamp. The mercury atoms in the lamp tube are excited to produce the tribute characteristic spectrum. Low pressure tribute steam mainly produces 254nm and 185nm ultraviolet rays. Fluorescent lamp and energy-saving lamp tube are made of ordinary glass, ultraviolet radiation can not be exposed, visible light is absorbed by phosphor, and ultraviolet light tube is produced through ultraviolet glass or quartz glass. Ultraviolet rays pass through the wall of the glass tube.

The function of ultraviolet lamp

Ultraviolet lamp is the light energy donor for photocatalytic oxidation. The photocatalyst nanoparticles can be stimulated to produce electron hole pair under the wavelength of ultraviolet light. The catalyst will not generate ozone in the whole photocatalytic oxidation process, and will not cause new environmental pollution because of ozone generation.


Progressiveness of composite photocatalysis technology

The photocatalytic process is mainly composed of nano titanium dioxide (TIO2).  There are four parts: nickel foam net, 254nm and 185nm ultraviolet lamp, electronic control system and equipment shell. Photocatalytic process can effectively remove some volatile organic and inorganic compounds, such as benzene, formaldehyde, acetone, ammonia, nitrogen dioxide, hydrogen sulfide and so on. These harmful gases can be completely decomposed and destroyed by titanium dioxide catalysis, so that they can be inorganic instead of intermediate products. At present, in many developed countries, the photocatalytic coatings containing titanium dioxide are widely applied to the exterior walls of buildings and the sound insulation boards of the roads, and the sunlight is used to decompose the nitrogen oxides in the exhaust gas of vehicles so as to purify the air.


Odor molecules generally exist in two forms: particle state and gas state. The particle state is mainly the odorous component contained in dust and liquid. The odor of the vulcanizing workshop of rubber tire industry is gaseous and a small amount of dust particle state, and the 60 mesh nickel foam net with nano two titanium chloride is embedded. It has a good interception effect on the dust in the exhaust gas composition. The intercepted dust contains a certain amount of volatile organic and inorganic compounds, which can be decomposed into innocuous and harmless substances under photocatalysis.
